Should I open a port on my router for EA Online games?

I am having some trouble connecting to some match ups in EA Online games (Fight Night 3, in particular); do I need to open a port in my firewall in my router? And if so, which one?
Note: its for ps2 and its a linksys router.

Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. What kind of router do you have and what kind of ISP do you have?
